Wim has worked in video games for over 20 years, starting as a games journalist in his native Belgium while finishing his degree in Chinese Studies. After graduating, he relocated to China, where he began his career in videogame development at Spicy Horse Games in Shanghai as an associate producer. Since then, he has worked for startups, more established companies like Crytek and more prominent multinational companies like EA. While most of his career was spent in China, he also spent several years in Ukraine. More recently, after starting work at Tencent Games as an executive producer, he moved to Amsterdam, overseeing the gate review process for Tencent’s IEGG. He works with development studios across Europe, the UK, North America, and Asia.
